Cheat mode:
Highlight 'Options Mode' at the main menu.
Press Down to highlight 'Options: <name>',
then hit Left or Right until 'Options: Cheat
Codes' appears. Press A. Then, enter one of the following
case-sensitive cheat codes. Then, highlight 'Accept'
and hit A. Note: Codes can also be set to the hotkeys
by hiting R to avoid re-entering them repeatedly.
Adjust game difficulty:
Enter one of the following case-sensitive codes to
set the game difficulty, by adjusting the 'glue' system.
'howhardcanitbe0' is the easiest setting, and 'howhardcanitbe9'
is the most difficult.

Los Angeles police car:
Win all the circuit races in Los Angeles in arcade
mode.
All cars:
Enter 'hotwired' as a case-sensitive code to unlock
all cars in arcade mode. Note: Your console may need Xbox Live!
installed for this code to work.
Tokyo police car:
Win all the circuit races in Tokyo in arcade mode.
Unlimited nitrous:
Enter 'zoomzoom4' as a case-sensitive code to
get unlimited nitrous boosters in arcade mode. Note: This also
adds nitrous to motorcycles.
Unlock 'Most Dedicated' stat:
Enter 'bigbrother' as a case-sensitive code.
Veloci:
Win all six of the World Champion's races [Savo].
Hints: Easy wins in Capture The Flag mode:
Get the item, stop, and allow one of your opponents
to get the flag. Then, go all the way to the finish line and stay
there. When your opponent is racing down to the finish line, quickly
use stop on his or her car. While stuck there, ram into their
car, get the flag, and bring it to the finish line. Note: This
trick may not work if not executed properly. Also. to avoid your
opponent's attacks, get a shield or stealth.
Hints: Slip stream turbo:
Line up in the wake of the car ahead of you, watching
air streams and listening for the draft noise. Stay in this sweet
spot for a few moments until the meter fills up with red, and
then hit 'Nitro' to slip ahead of your opponents. Note:
You cannot use this until you defeat three people in career mode.
Hints: Paris: Secret area:
Find the Cathedral. Once there, you will see the doors.
They appear as if you cannot go through them. However, you can
drive straight into them and they will open, allowing your car
to go through.
Hints: Powerslide:
Enable the 'Unlimited nitrous' code. Get
a motorcycle and begin arcade mode. Find a good straightaway and
hold 'Weight Shift'. When you are going fast use the brake
and the nitrous at the same time. You will powerslide around faster.
It is useful for 180 turns in races.
Hints: Flip the finger:
Choose the motorcycle and go into any mode. Remain
idle without moving. After about thirty seconds, the man on the
bike will turn around and flip the finger.
Hints: Last Man Standing, The Final Race:
After you have completed the game and have become the
Tokyo champion, another message appears. It reads 'The World
Champion Of Illegal Street Racing'. However, you are not
really the champion until you defeta Shave. He has all Velocis
and they have five nitros. The best way to defeat him is to enable
the 'All cars' code. Red and yellow Velocis will attempt
to run you off the road.
Hints: Glitch: See through large vehicle:
This trick can be done with any large vehicle, such
as the blue mail truck with a red stripe, the bus, and semis.
The vehicle must be taller than you. Tailgate the vehicle until
it stops at a street light. Once it stops, hit B [to
look backwards] while touching the rear of the truck. The game
will glitch and you will look inside of it. You can see your headlights
through the wall.
Hints: 360:
When going at least 130 mph and driving straight, hold
Right or Left + Reverse to do a perfect 360.
Hints: Paris: Get on roof of building:
Use either a motorcycle or a very fast car. When the
race starts, turn around and go into the tunnel behind you. Then,
when the tunnel gets to the wide area with the pillars, turn around
and nitro through the tunnel you just came from. Drive at full
speed at the pyramid. When you hit the big pyramid, use a boost
or a nitro to soar off and over the building after the pyramid
that you hit. You should fly over the road behind the building
and on top of the building on the other side of the street. You
are now able to drive on rooftops.
Hints: More checkpoints for race editor:
Once you are in the race editor, hit X and
go left once until it 'Opponents' or something similar
appears. Change the number of opponents to 0 [none], then hit
B until you return to the race editor's main screen. You
will now be able to put checkpoints on highways, freeways, subways,
etc. They are the larger dots.
Hints: Glitch: Drive totaled car:
Crash your car into the gas pumps. After the explosion,
pause game play. When you resume, your car will be totaled, but
will still be driveable and also appears to be indestructible.
However, if you flip the car over, it will not reset upright.
Hints: Police car numbers:
When being chased by a cop, look at the top of their
car. All the police cars numbers are 420.
Hints: Easy wheelies:
Get a motorcycle and do a wheelie for at least three
seconds. Then, pull back all the way on the Analog-stick.
If done correctly, you will be perfectly balanced.
Hints: Quick start:
At the starting line when the countdown begins, hold
R to peel out, and then move back and forth to sway the
car. This will move you forward slightly, and will give you a
better starting position.
Hints: Glitch: Wrong siren:
You must unlock any police car and at least two of
the three cities for this trick. When the siren is activated in
a police car in another city, it will sound the same as a police
car from that city, and not from where the car was originally
from. For example, select the L.A. police car and go to Paris
in cruise mode. Turn your sirens on, and it will sound like a
Parisian police car instead of the L.A. police car.
Hints: Barrel roll:
After you unlock the 'Driving On Two Wheels'
cheat, go to arcade mode and select 'Cruise' and a fast
car. Then, hit the 'Weight Transfer' + Left Analog-stick
to get onto two wheels when on a long straight-a-way. Go down
the straight-a-way and gain speed. When you reach a turn, use
the handbrake to make an extremely sharp turn. If you gained enough
speed and turned the correct way, you should have flipped over
and landed back on your wheels. In order for this to work, you
must take physics into consideration. If you go on your right
side wheels, you must turn left to do a barrel roll and vice versa.
Hints: Stoppie:
Get your speed above 40 mph, then hold L[weight
transfer] and hit the Left Analog-stick Up + X
[Reverse].
