Hints: Upgrading your characters:
Every time you enter a town, you will see the word
'MOVE'. After you are level 10, go to the dojo. When
you enter the dojo, select 'Advance' in the box on the
bottom left hand side of the screen. You will see all your characters.
Select them and you will see a list of things they can turn into.
They are: Swordsman, Guardsman, Bowman, Hawk Knight, Sorcerer,
Healer, and Monk.
Hints: Earth Key:
Talk to the young man in the tavern at Yuzu. He will
tell you that he dropped a weird fruit in a plus sign bog. Pick
it up and give it to him. You will then receive the Earth Key.
Hints: Heaven Key:
With all five keys, talk to the weird man in Glasgow
City. He will give you the Heaven Key.
Hints: Chaos Key:
To get the Chaos Key, you need three items: the Macroman,
Tarot Card, and the Ramen. The Macroman is found in the northwest
corner of Ygdra Canaon. The Tarot Card is found at Basil Gate
in the southeast corner -- there is an X made of grass there.
The Ramen is in the grate on the front car on The Magical Train.
Go to Kerachi Village, go to the tavern, and talk to the collector.
Zohar or Clint:
On the enemies' turn, if they attack anyone you used
Mystic Shield on, hit x + square + circle + triangle immediately
before they attack. Your character should block. Note: This does
not work on Bosses.
Hints: Take one life point of health away
Hints: Gain levels quickly in Chapter 2:
In the battle of the castle ruins in Chapter2, before
the fight with Magnus and after the ambush at the swamp, there
will be two healing circles and two elevators. Stock everyone
up with Mage Oil before going into the battle. When you enter
the fight, kill all the monsters in the level, but do not go anywhere
near the temple. Instead, have Sara stand on one of the circles
and begin casting 'Mystic Shield' on herself repeatedly.
It takes six casts to raise one level. Raise her to level 49,
then have Huxley stand on the circle beside Sara and cast Mystic
Shield on her. He will jump up to about level 46. Do this a few
times more to get to level 49. As for the characters who cannot
cast it, have them use the Mage Oils. Note: Do not do this trick
with Ash, or you will encounter problems later on in the game.
This will cause you will fight monsters with very high levels
-- the game is based on how high Ash's level is. It adjusts the
monsters higher or lower depending on Ash's level.
