13x multiplier:
Pause game play, then hold L1 and hit X,
Squarex2, Triangle, Up, Down. The
pause screen will shake to confirm correct code entry. You will
have 13 points in all stats for the current skater. Note: This
code spells 'XS STUD', [i.e., excess stud].
Slow and fast motion:
Pause game play, then hold L1 and hit Square,
Left, Up, Square, Left. The screen
will shake to confirm correct code entry. Note: Enable this code
two times in a row for a faster game. Alternately, pause game
play, then hold L1 + Square and hit Left,
Up. Keep holding L1 and release Square. Finally,
hold L1 + Square and hit Left.
Neversoft Bails FMV sequence:
Unlock Officer Dick as a character and use him to win
three gold medals. The Neversoft Bails FMV features the game's
developers trying to skate.
Big head mode:
Pause game play, then hold L1 and hit Square,
Circle, Up, Leftx2. The pause screen will
shake to confirm correct code entry. Quit and start a new game
for big head mode. Note: This code spells 'SCULL' [i.e.
skull].
Cheat mode:
Pause game play, then hold L1 and hit Circle,
Right, Up, Down, Circle, Right,
Up, Square, Triangle. The pause screen will
shake to confirm correct code entry. All levels, tapes, FMV sequences,
full stats, and Officer Dick will be unlocked. Note: This code
spells 'CRUD CRUST'.
moves and sounds:
Start a game in any mode as Officer Dick. Pause game
play, then hold L1 and hit Triangle, Up,
Triangle, Up, Circle, Up, Left,
Triangle. The screen will not shake. Then, hit Start
or choose 'Continue'. Do not choose 'Retry'
or the game will freeze. If done correctly, your skater will have
Officer Dick's appearance, but will have Private Carrera's special
moves and sounds.
Play as Officer Dick:
Use a single character to get all thirty tapes in career
mode.
skateboard:
Begin game play in the Minneapolis level. As you progress
through the level, you will see some loose wood and junk on the
ground near the apartments with the 500 point window bust. Look
inside the window of a store to see two Tech Decks, with realistic
boxes. They are so detailed you can even see the Tech Deck sponsor's
mascot or the trademark Armless Potato on the skateboard.
Hints: Special grinds in mid air:
Go off a ramp. if you want to do a grind with Elissa
Steamer hit Leftx2, Square + Circle. You
can do this with all special grinds, even the Burntwist and the
Ho-Ho-Ho.
Hints: Spin Kickflip McTwist, Backflip,
Hints: Unlocking levels instantly:
Choose two player mode, play for about a minute or
two, the exit. Quickly select freestyle mode to have all the levels
that were available in two player mode unlocked.
Hints: Glitch: Jake's glitch:
This glitch will allow you to float in the air. To
do it, go to the San Francisco level. At the start, go to your
right, then right again and go up a disabled ramp. Turn left and
head towards a mini-wall with some stairs to the left. Turn right
and you should be facing another mini-wall. Go up to it and turn
right so that you are in the corner between the mini-wall and
a building. Deckslide the mini-wall. If done correctly, you will
fall a bit and then float. You can do as many tricks as desired.
This may take some practice to get it to work correctly.
Hints: San Francisco: Dozen Donut back up:
Select the San Francisco level. Enable the 'Random
start locations' code. Go to 'Roof Access' and
begin the level. When you start, go around the corner and do not
fall off. After that, jump to the other building. Go to the corner
of the building that you jumped to, so you can see the police
car at 'Porkers Donut Hole' . After a few seconds you
will hear the cop say ''Three fourths invoice I got a dozen here,
requesting backup.'
Hints: Glitch: Float points:
During game play you may experience a glitch when you
hit the ground and start to float. If this happens, hit all the
moves and keep on spinning. Stop when you get close to a wall,
and you can get over 1,000,000 points.
Hints: Glitch: Mall level:
There is a glitch by the glass that you can break.
Go down the ramp, turn around, grind either Smith, Crooked or
5-0. Grind directly after the last shadow ramp onto cage and you
will go through and the glass will not break.
Hints: Stump opponent in horse mode:
This trick will work for any skater except Tony Hawk,
Rune Gilfberg, Private Carrera and Bucky Lasek. Enable the 'Full
special' code, select Woodland Hills, and go to the halfpipe
directly across from the where you get the hidden tape. Go up
the halfpipe and go down. Go though the secret room, land on the
pipe, grind, and do their special grind. You can get up to 100,000
points.
Hints: Chicago: Rafter Rail grind:
Go to Chicago Skate Park and gain speed. Go to outside
of the half pipe. Go up the half pipe, and at the top hold X
+ Forward. You should go off the half pipe and into the
air. When you get near the metal pole on the roof, hold Triangle
+ X. If done correctly, you should be doing a grind on
the pole up in the air. Note: This requires practice and results
in extra points.
Hints: Glitch: Get stuck in School level:
In the School level, go down and off the roof, down
the stairs with the rail, and a quarter pipe up against the wall
at the bottom. Follow the wall around until you are facing the
quarter pipe that launches you up to the little roof location
with the two rails. Get up there, and do a Nose Grind off the
rail to your right that leads back up to the stairs and the gymnasium.
Ollie out and do any move, but try to land at the third bar on
the wall [which is the design for the background that runs through
out the game]. If you stop and start falling from your air at
about the third bar from the end of the rail where it drops off,
you will get stuck. Just do constant turning, as it will multiply
the score of the trick that you did out of the rail without making
you fall. To come out, make sure you are facing a direction that
you can land in without falling, and start doing flips or ollies
in the air. You should just fall out.
Hints: Glitch: Officer Dick referred to as a kid:
When playing as Officer Dick, get hit by a taxi. Some
taxis may yell 'Stupid kid!'.
Hints: Air Casper with Geoff Rowley:
Select Kareem Campbell. Then, max out your special
and get some air. Then, hit Up, Down, Square
+ Circle. Note: It will be displayed as a Casper Slide.
Hints: Roswell: Alien:
Select the Roswell level. There will be three doors.
In one of the three doors is an alien in a holding cell that says
'Help me!'.
Go to where the alien is located and stop directly in front of
the widow. Set the music levels down to zero and listen carefully
to hear the alien talking.
Hints: Load faster:
Hold X while the stage, level, contest, etc.
is loading. Note: This works most of the time.
Hints: Glitch: Metal grip tape:
Select Geoff Rowley and enter any park with an area
in which to grind. Get a full special and do a Dark Slide [Left,
Right, Triangle] across the rail to see an array
of sparks coming off the grip tape.
Hints: Mall: Music:
Turn down all the music effects In the mall level and
go to a location where the water falls cannot be heard. Stop and
listen closely. If done correctly you will hear music playing
in the mall.
Hints: Glitch: Get out of Burnside:
You can get out of Burnside by looking around the fence
when you see two teal-colored portable toilets. Go over to that
part of the fence. You should see a gap between the concrete and
the fence. Try to wall ride the fence and keep yourself tightly
hited against it. You will eventually get out of Burnside and
can skate around outside. Get back inside by going in where you
came out. Note: This is difficult to do, and requires some practice.
Hints: Extra points in horse mode:
Begin game play in horse mode, with you in control
of player one. Hold L1 + L2 when player two's trick
is about to load to have him turn to the left, and R1 +
R2 for your opponent to face to the right. This is especially
useful during the first level when you need to be in line with
the objects.
Hints: Glitch: Warehouse: Go through wall:
Start the level with any character. Look at the right
glass wall while at the starting point. There should be a gap
tall and wide enough for your character to go through. Go to the
gap and try to go through it. If done correctly, when you go back
up to the wall there, the glass should be unbroken.
Hints: Glitch: Skate on land with water effects:
Go to the San Francisco level. Find the fountain where
the hidden tape is located. Jump into the fountain, then jump
out of it and skate around in the surrounding red area. If done
correctly, you should be on the dry part of the level, but it
have the water effects [bubbles and the sounds] following behind.
Hints: Spin in mid-air:
This trick will allow you to spin while crashing in
Downhill Jam. Hit a high ramp and wall ride. Press Up while
going straight up. You should crash but if done correctly, you
will be able to hit L1 or R1 to spin in the air.
Go to the San Francisco level. Enable the 'Slow motion'
code. Hit a trolley, then hold L1 or R1.
Hints: Handstand:
Immediately before you are about to grind on a halfpipe,
quarterpipe, etc., hit Up + Triangle. If done
correctly, you should do a handstand just as if you were doing
a grind.
Hints: Easy 900 and higher:
Select Tony Hawk, go to the Streets level and enable
the 'Slow motion' code. Go to the ramp where you get
the hidden tape. When you go off the ramp, do the 900. You should
nail the 900 and get a transfer for going through the glass.
Enable the 'Slow motion' code, jump off a ramp, then
hit R1. It is possible to do a 1080 Ollie or a Mega Ollie.
Hints: Glitch: San Francisco: Skate upside down:
Start the San Francisco level and head towards Hubba's
Hideout by going down the big hill, then take a left. Go underneath
Hubba's Ledge straight towards a quarter pipe against a wall,
get some speed, go up the quarter pipe, do a wall ride and go
off of the right side. Ollie out of the wall ride and try to land
on a tall brownish cage colored object. If you land on top of
it and ride around on it for awhile, you will be able to skate
upside down until you try to ollie.
Hints: Take out a radio/stereo:
Select Chad Muska and do his One Foot Thumpin [Right,
Down, Triangle]. If you look closely he will have
a stereo/radio in his hand.
Hints: Go faster:
Press X when going down a hill or anything else.
This will also give you more air when you go off a jump.
