Fight as True Ogre:
Complete arcade mode with nine characters.
Fight as Heihachi:
Complete arcade mode with seven characters.
Special attack in Tekken Ball:
When you use a special attack on the ball [for example,
Blazing Inferno for True Ogre], it will glow slightly and you
will see an exclamation mark. However it will not do any damage
to your opponent when it hits them.
When in Tekken Ball mode, you can make the ball fly into the air
above you, then slam down at your opponent at an amazing speed.
To do this, you can be anybody. When the enemy uses an attack
to make the ball into an 'attack ball' [ball infused
with power], counter that 'attack ball' with a throw,
or any other attack that causes a blue spark [such as Jin's Force
Block]. You can do this by hiting Square + X or
Triangle + Circle. If you hit the ball with the
'blue spark' attack, there will be a blue '!'
where you hit it, and the ball will glow blue. Then, you will
hit the ball and infuse it with your power [jump-kicking works
very well]. It will fly high into the air above your head, then
slam down on the head of the enemy doing the damage you infused
in the ball! The ball moves so fast that the enemy has no time
to counter. Note: You can still make the ball go above your head
if the enemy hit the ball with a 'blue spark' attack
when you had the ball infused with your power.
Start taunts:
Hold Triangle or Square before a round
for a taunt and X or Square for another taunt.
Winning poses:
After each round you win, hold the indicated button
during the replay of your winning move for a special pose.

Unlocking Gon and Dr. Boskonovitch easily:
Set the game on easy, one round, and unlimited time.
Play in arcade mode and on the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh
round, allow your opponent to take all but five percent of your
health before defeating him. If done correctly, the announcer
will say 'Great'. Gon or Dr. Boskonovitch will be your
opponent in the next round. Defeat them to unlock them as playable
characters.
Defeat Gon in Tekken Ball mode to unlock him in all modes.
Alternate introduction sequence:
Complete the game with the ten base characters to view
an alternate introduction featuring the characters in their two-player
mode costumes. For another alternate introduction, complete the
game with all characters including the secret characters.
Fight as Gun Jack:
Complete arcade mode with three characters.
Tracking ball:
In Tekken Ball Mode, when someone fires an attack ball
at you, hit the buttons for a throw move when it is close to
you. The ball will glow. Kick or punch it and the ball will go
up into the air and hit the opponent. This attack can be blocked.
Alternate costumes:
Select arcade mode, highlight a fighter on the character
selection screen, and hold R1 + R2 + L1 +
L2 until the timer reaches zero. Release the buttons when
both fighters are displayed.
Alternatively, play as the desired character the indicated number
of times. Then, highlight that fighter on the character selection
screen and hit Start: Ling Xiaoyu [fifty times], Jin
Kazama [fifty times], Anna Williams [twenty-five], Gunjack [ten].
Press Start or Triangle when selecting Law. He will
fight in a yellow costume with a black stripe down the sides.
This outfit looks rather like the biker outfit in one of Bruce
Lee's epic films called 'Game Of Death'.
Highlight a character and hit Square.
Highlight a fighter at the character selection screen. Allow the
controller to remain idle and wait for the time to run out.
Quick exit:
During a fight or when selecting one of the modes,
hit Start + Select.
Fight as Doctor Boskonovitch:
Select Tekken Force Mode from the main menu. Your first
goal is to fight Heihachi's 'Tekken Forces' all the
way to the Mishima Fortress, where you will hopefully get to fight
Heihachi Mishima and defeat him. When you have accomplished this,
you will get a copper key. Do this three more times to get the
silver and gold keys. The third time you defeat Heihachi, a message
saying 'Final Stage Challenge' should appear on the
screen. You will then go to the Underground stage where you must
fight the Doctor. Not only is he very tricky, but the 60 second
time limit makes him even harder to beat. Defeat him to unlock
him in arcade mode and the Underground stage.
Complete Tekken Force Mode four times and defeat him at the final
stage. He will be playable in all modes including arcade mode.
Alternately, battle on two player versus mode between 50 and 120
times, if you already have unlocked all characters besides Dr.
Boskonovitch.
Fight as Kuma:
Complete arcade mode once. When selected, he will be
a giant panda. To fight as Kuma the brown bear, hit Triangle
when selecting him. They both have the same moves.
Fight as Tiger:
Highlight Eddy Gordo at the character selection screen
and hit Triangle. Alternately, successfully complete
the game with eighteen characters.
Alternate character and mode release:
There is a another way of releasing extra characters
and game modes. As you accumulate battles in versus mode new features
and characters will be unlocked.
100 Battles : Kuma unlocked
150 Battles : Julia unlocked
200 Battles : Gun Jack unlocked

Red and green colors:
Go to practice mode, then select one player free-style
mode. Turn everything on, go to mode select, then go to 'Combo
Training' and hit Start. Your characters should
be green, and when you attack you will become red. Note: You can
go back to one player free-style if desired, and the colors will
still be there.
Fight as Anna:
Complete arcade mode with five characters.
Record or replay combo:
Enter practice mode and choose the 'Freestyle'
selection. Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2
+ Circle at the freestyle options screen. Then hit Down
+ Select to record or replay a combo.
Hints: Mokujin: Puppet comparison:
Mokujin was not the first character to look like that.
Before Mokujin, was a character found in Tobal No. 1 and
Tobal 2 known as Puppet. The only differences are that
Mokujin is wider, and has only one iron ball fist -- Puppet has
two of them.
Hints: Julia: Triple power kick:
Go towards your opponent and hit Circlex3.
Note: This move is helpful when fighting Doctor Boskonovitch.
Hints: Gon: Special Side Step:
Hold Back and the hit X + Circle.
Note: You can hold Back to keep moving.
Hints: Avoid throw:
To avoid many throws, just hit Square or Triangle
at the correct moment. This will not work with certain throws.
level enemy:
In Tekken Force mode, kicks will do heavy damage on
crows, owls, and level enemies.
Hints: Law: Easy win:
Select arcade mode and choose Law. Keep hiting X
and Circle. You should do good combos, by kicking your
opponent, then doing a back flip kick.
Hints: Hwoarang: Easy win:
In the very beginning of the match, take a quick step
forward and hit Xx2, Circlex2, Xx2.
Hwoarang will do four quick kicks, a low kick and then a strong
roundhouse kick. This should take away most of their health. If
the roundhouse kick misses, quickly hit Circlex4 to
do another quick combo.
Hints: Gun Jack: Good ending:
Successfully complete the game with Gun Jack in his
secret costume. To get his secret costume, play with Gun Jack
fifty times in two player versus mode. Both players have to be
Gun Jack.
Hints: Gon: Easy win:
Keep hiting Circle until it is a K.O.
Hints: Escape Backflips:
When playing as Xiaoyu, Nina, Yoshimitsu, Eddy/Tiger,
Anna, or Mukojin hit 'Up/Back' to do Backflip.
Hints: Mokujin: Male and female differences:
You can tell if you are fighting the male or female
by looking on top of their heads. The girl has a flower and the
boy has a tree.
Hints: Bryan Fury: Super move:
This move does 72 points of damage. Press Back,
then hit Square + Circle. Bryan will crouch on
one knee, bend the other, exert green energy, then will back hand
them in the side of the head.
Hints: Practice mode colors:
Select practice mode and choose your characters. Go
to 'Player 1 Freestyle' and turn 'Hit Analysis'
and 'Attack Data' on. Your players will be green and
will turn red when they attack.
Hints: Xiaoyu: Opponent trick:
Play as Xiaoyu and execute her Basic Throw A on your
opponent. Immediately hit Triangle quickly and repeatedly
after hiting the buttons for the move. If done correctly, your
opponent will get up the wrong way.
Hints: Yoshimitsu: Combo:
Press Squarex2, Trianglex2, Circle
for an easy combo that does a lot of damage.
Hints: Doctor Boskonovitch: Super Doc move:
To make Doctor B. do his Super Doc move [which is not
shown in the command list], hit Circle + X + 'Away',
then hit Up. The doctor should go flying into the air
before coming down near his opponent. This move does a surprisingly
large amount damage to your opponent.
Hints: Gon: Fire proof:
The only character than is fireproof is Gon. When attacked
with fire he will just stand there and it will only do one point
of damage. This is true for both Gons.

Hints: Power Moves:
Each character has at least one heavy damage unblockable
move [referred here as a 'Power Move']. While the Power
Moves are the strongest special arts, they have a slow execution
time, leaving the character momentarily vulnerable to attack.
You must set the shoulder buttons to the following combinations
in order for them to work:
Set L1 as 'LP' + 'RP'.
Set L2 as 'RP' + 'LK'.
Set R1 as 'LK' + 'RK'.
Set R2 as 'LP'
+ 'RK'.
Setting the buttons as described above will allow much easier
access to the unblockable Power Moves. The following is a list
of Power Moves for all characters available at the start of the
game.

a side step. Then, hit X + Circle. This kick takes
60% of 100 damage and is not on the command list.
Hints: Paul: Shortest combo:
Press Square, Triangle, X, Square,
Triangle to perform Paul's shortest combo.
Hints: Gon: Repeating punch attack:
Press Square and immediately hit Triangle
+ Square repeatedly. If done correctly, Gon will do a punch
combo until you stop hiting Triangle + Square.
Note: Sometimes Gon will do his fireball attack.
