 Land Bopper mini-game:
Get nine lands in full view on the world map [which
should resemble a slanted tic-tac-toe board]. Hold L1 button
for approximately four seconds to get the Land Bopper start screen
to appear.
Easy Lucre:
After getting the frozen heart 'AF', defeat
the Boss and re-enter the level. Instead of going to the Field
Of Lost Guilt, move right. Go in and out to get Dragon Eggs that
sell for 5,000 or 500 Lucre.
Go to Luon Highway and fight Spiny Cones and Stinger Bugs. Try
to win some Wind Caps from Spiny Cones and Clear Feathers from
Stinger Bugs. Go to your house and Temper the Wind Caps with Clear
Feathers. Finish after you get three Lord Of Flies cards on one
Wind Cap. Take the Wind Cap to the nearest store and sell it.
You should be able to sell one Wind Cap for 26,000+ Lucre. If
not, add more Clear Feathers to it.
If you find your pet useless or do not like it, bear with it and
let it out to graze. After some hours of adventuring, it should
be at a quite high level. Sell it, and you earn a profit.
Fight Dragons for Dragon Steaks to sell for 1000 Lucre.
Go to the Underworld [or anywhere else that the following monsters
appear] and fight Specters until one drops a DragonBone [CursedBone
Pendant]. Then, fight Bloodsuckers until you have at least four
Blackened Bats. Go to your workshop and temper the Blackened Bats
into the DragonBone Pendant. You should see three 'Wings
Of Darkness' cards added to the item. When you are finished,
you can sell the pendant at any shop for well over 20,000 lucre.
Get 'Fastest Wheel':
Complete the 'Catchin' Lilipeas' quest and
have a saved game from Chocobo Racing on the same memory
card as the one used for Legend Of Mana. Highlight the
Chocobo Racing file, then exit out of the save screen.
Go to Polpota Harbor. On the Polpota Harbor map screen Skippy,
the thin big eared creature from the 'Catchin' lilipeas'
and 'Huntin' Du'cate' quests, will appear and hand you
a ring item called 'Fastest Wheel.'
Get both main characters in party:
Have a saved game file for both characters. Go to Geo
or the house in Domina with the mailbox that has ears on it. For
Geon talk to Duelle [onion boy]. If you are alone, he will ask
if you want to call a friend. Answer 'Yes'. Depending
on who you are using, choose the other save with the other character.
Then, leave the arena with both characters. In Domina just walk
up to the door and hit X.
In-game reset:
Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2
+ Select + Start during game play.
Get a Chocobo:
To get a Chocobo as a pet, have a Final Fantasy
8 saved game on the same memory card as the one used for Legend
Of Mana. Enter the save screen, highlight the Final Fantasy
8 file, then exit out of the save screen. When you catch a
bird egg in the eastern section of Domina it should hatch into
a Chocobo.
To get a Chocobo as your first pet instead of a Rabite, name your
character Dagger or if it is a boy, Seifer. Then, have Daena as
your NPC. Instead of a beast egg, you will get a bird egg. It
will soon become a Chocobo.
 Hints: Two player duel:
If you want to fight a friend, travel to Geo and go
to the uppermost dot. Enter the building and go past Sotherbee
into the basement. Continue down once more and talk to the Garlic
Guy. You can fight against an NPC or a friend's character.
Hints: Best weapons and armor without tempering:
Go to Mekiv Caverns and move to the room with the egg
[oddity]. Go in and out when there is nothing in the room. Stay
and fight the Land Dragon when it appears repeatedly. It will
eventually drop Dragon Scales. Make a weapon or armor with it.
It is possible to get a knife with a power of 89.
Hints: Monster Eggs:
The most common places for monster eggs to appear are
locations which had Boss battles. If when you enter a recent battle
area and a monster egg is not there, leave that room and return
until one appears. When you find one, map out the most common
areas that the monster eggs wander around and leave food every
place it usually goes. Note: You can only have five pieces of
food out at a time.
To get Monster Eggs without using food, hide behind it without
being seen until a cloud with '...' appears over its
head. Then, quickly snatch it. Do not worry if you have people
following you -- Monster Eggs will not notice them.
Hints: Easy finding ability for monsters:
To get the finding ability of your monsters to 99 quickly,
feed the following to them in order: Gold Clover, Pine O' Clock,
Gold Clover. You can get 4 points on every level, and max out
before level 36.
Egg:
To raise a certain class of monster you need a certain
type of egg to have a chance of getting that monster. For example,
if you wanted to have a Land Dragon, whose class is Dragon, as
a pet you would need to hatch a Dragon type egg to have a chance
of getting it. The locations of the different types of egg are
as follows.
Aerial egg: Luon Highway [Boss location], Norn Peaks [nowhere
special 1]. Aquatic eggs: Madora Beach [extreme right of area], SS Buccaneer
[lowest room] Arthropod eggs: Norn Peaks [nowhere special 2] Beast eggs: The White Forest [nowhere
special] Demi-Human eggs: ??? [???] Demonic eggs: Jungle [nowhere special] Dragon eggs:
Fieg Snowfields [Boss location] Morph eggs: Gato Grottoes [Boss location] Oddity eggs: Ulkan
Mines [Boss location] Plant eggs: Jungle [Boss location] Poltergeist eggs: Junkyard [nowhere
special], Tower of Leires[Boss
location] Reptile eggs: Luon Highway [in the cave] Undead eggs: The Bone Fortress [Boss location]
Note: The eggs can usually be found where the area's Boss was
located, but not always. They appear in the same places the Spirits
[Salamander, Shade, etc.] appear. Sometimes nothing will appear
in that location - enter and exit that screen until they appear.
A few Egg/Spirit locations will not work until certain mini-quests
[see the Diary] are have been completed.
Hints: Items with value:
If during the course of the game you find your characters
Lucre [funds] a bit low, go to the SS Bucaneer. Once there, make
your way to the lower deck area and enter the left door on the
bottom of the screen. This will put you in the forecastle. Here
and in the next room are the Polter Box enemies [which resemble
a treasure chest]. The Polter Box frequently drops three different
valuable crystals. The Sun and Moon crystals each sell for 750
Lucre. The Glow crystal sells for 1,000 Lucre. Go in and out of
the room to bring the enemies back as many times as needed. If
you have not got the SS Bucaneer, yet go to the second floor of
the Bone Fortress and fight the Kid Dragon at that location. He
will ocassionally drop a Dragon Steak, which is worth 1,000 Lucre.
The Kid Dragon will also drop Dragon Breath which is very useful
in tempering swords and sells for 300 Lucre.
Hints: General forging and tempering tips:
Mystic Power Cards seem to work best in threes. For
example, where one Cleric Card would have a slightly negative
effect on attack power, three greatly increases it. The God of
War Card only gives a slight boost in raw power if one is used.
If three are used it is raised by 10 [the God of War Card works
well on all types of Orihalcon Armor].
Plunge Attacks on your weapon can be changed. For instance, the
Sun Crystal's Card, Sun God [you may need three applications of
this card in a row] will change one of your plunge attacks [on
the one handed Orihalcon sword] to Sunlight, which will still
only do medium damage but will also be incredibly effective against
the undead. Some items will change the amount of damage [from
medium to large, etc]. Save before you experiment - you may get
results you do not like, and will want to load that saved data.
Hints: Gold Seed Artifact:
You have to approximately sixty fruits from Trent [the
big tree at your house where you plant seeds]. Trent will give
you the Gold Seed artifact This artifact gives you land - Orchard.
Hints: Demi-Human pets:
You cannot find Demi-Human eggs. They do not exist.
You may come across a Demi-Human creature who offers to join you.
Accepting the offer is the only way to get an Demi-Human creature
for a pet. Once enlisted, these can be treated like any other
pet, and they take up one of your five pet slots. They will not
join you if you already have a pet or Golem in your party. You
can encounter a Chobin Hood in one of the random pathways in the
Jungle, a Mad Mallard near where you fight the Axebeaks in Duma
Desert, and a Tomato Man at the entrance of Norn Peaks.
You can get a Succubus demi-human pet in the Fieg Snowfields.
However, it will not join if you have a Golem or Pet with you.
Hints: Common crab mistake:
To be confused while trying to step on all the crabs
in the beach, catch an aquatic egg. At times it may hatch into
a crab identical to the ones on the beaches. If you have this
crab in your team, you may mix him up with the crabs that can
be stepped on, and you will be chasing your own while the others
escape.
Hints: Getting pet crabs to live in your
Hints: Easy pets:
This trick can only be used when you find a monster
egg. Catch it and leave the screen. Go back, if you find another
one, catch it. If not, exit and return again until you find one.
reference:
'Sometimes during the game you will receive an item
called 'Topple Cotton'. Topple is the first town you
visit in Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy.
There are also other items referring to Final Fantasy Adventure.
Some of these are IshePlatinum, which refers to the town of Ish/Ishe,
MenosBronze, referring to Menos, and WendelSilver, referring to
Wendel.
Additionally, the shopkeeper and some of the monsters resemble
their counterparts in Final Fantasy Adventure.
Hints: Ignore Sproutlings:
At the beginning of the game, when you gain control
of your character, you can explore the house. Outside the home
is a Sproutling who gives you an artifact. However, you can ignore
it by trying to get out of the map without talking to it. When
you repeat this six times, Sproutling will begin the conversation
immediately. Note: If this is done, the 'Sproutling'
section in the Character Tome will not be filled in.
Hints: Killing Pee-wee Birdie:
To kill the little annoying egg with feet [Pee-wee
birdie] talk to it fifteen times and it will explode.
Hints: Name changes:
Some characters' names differ from their Japanese versions.

Dragons Blood and Dragons Breath are occasionally dropped when
any member of the Dragon species [Land Dragon, Sky Dragon, Kid
Dragon] is defeated. A Kid Dragon can be found in the Bone Fortress.
Holy Water is found in a few treasure chests throughout the course
of the game.
