Saving the game:
After losing, allow the timer to expire, and return
to the title screen. Choose the 'Save' option at the
bottom, hit Start, and confirm the save. The current
button configuration will also be saved. The same process can
be used with the 'Load' option to resume an old game.
Maximum power:
Pause the game and hit Upx2, Downx3,
Left, Right, Left, Right, X,
Circle. A sound will confirm correct code entry. After
the game is resumed, maximum power [except for shields] will be
available. Both players will be powered-up in a two-player game.
Enter this code is original Parodius mode to get a shield.
Level select:
Press Squarex5, Trianglex7, Circlex3
at the title screen.
