 Hints: Berserker ['Final Fantasy 5]:
'First, have a character with a mastered Ninja [level
5] and a mastered Monk [level 7]. Make that character a Mime and
give him the abilities learned from these two classes: 2-Swords
[Ninja level 5], HP +30% [Monk level 7], and Counter [Monk level
4]. The only thing that you have to do is cast Berserk on this
Mime during a battle. With the 2-Swords ability, you could give
him a Ragnarok [Batt. Pwr. 137] and a Strato [Batt. Pwr. 117].
The HP +30% will give him a great amount of HP and the Counter
ability will automatically attack an enemy if it attacks the Mime.
Hints: Control opening screen ['Final
Fantasy 5]:
'At the end of World 2 when you are infiltrating
X-Death's castle, immediately before you reach X-Death's room
you will encounter a chest with nothing in it. When you leave
this room, Gilgamesh will attack you. However, if you do not open
the chest in this room, you will not have to fight Gilgamesh.
Hints: Defeating Gilgame ['Final Fantasy
avoiding battles ['Final Fantasy 6]:
'If you are fighting foes who primarily do not use
magic, cast Vanish on all your party members. Afterwards, most
battles can be fought without taking damage. Occasionally, you
will have to recast Vanish when magic is actually used. This works
very well if you battle Bosses, such as Umaro, who do not use
magic, and you are tired of using the Vanish/Doom trick.
['Final Fantasy 6]:
'When fighting Kefka for the final time in Kafka's
tower, throw the Atma weapon. He should either die or be weak
enough to be defeated with one more hit.
Hints: Defeating Phantom Train ['Final
5]:
'Go to Waltz Castle and walk into the water on the
roof. Find the large waterfall, walk into the middle of it, and
continue to walk up the stairs until you see a glowing ball. Walk
up and talk to the ball. Fight and defeat Shiva to get her as
a summon.
Hints: Finding Ramuh ['Final Fantasy
Fantasy 5]:
'To have less random battles, tap the D-Pad
instead of holding it.
Hints: Glitch: Saving the game ['Final Fantasy
Fantasy 6]:
'Equip Locke with Offering and Genji Glove. Then,
give him the Atma weapon Valiant Knife. Although this is best
when around 4000 HP, he still does a lot of damage if less is
available.
6]:
'Note: A lot of money is required for this trick.
Buy 99 Green Cherries. During a battle in the World Of Ruin, have
Umaro in your party. Use some Green Cherries on Umaro and he will
become stronger without having to level up.
Hints: Getting the Paladin Shield ['Final
Fantasy 5]:
'In World 3, take Boko northeast then west until
you reach the top of Easterly Falls. Walk into the waterfall and
hit X to get the Magic Lamp. It will summon in this order:
Bahamut, Leviathan, Odin, Hydra, Carbuncle, Golem, Titan, Ifrit,
Ramuh, Shiva, Remora, Sylph, Chocobo. It uses no MP if you are
summoning weak monsters, or none. Return to the same location
to refill it.
5]:
'Go into the water in the third world, below the
Phoenix Tower. Transform the boat into the submarine and go into
the tower. Since it is under water, you will only have seven minutes
to get to the bottom and return. Equip Dash and run to the bottom.
Once there, you will see the crystal shard. A monster will warn
you, but answer 'No'. He will mimic you. To win, do
nothing as he says.
Hints: Blood combo ['Final Fantasy
Fantasy 6]:
'I is possible to get another Atma Weapon during
the final set of battles. When battling the warrior with a woman's
head above and behind him [just before god Kefka], steal from
the woman's head. You should now be able to equip another Atma
Weapon to a character.
Hints: Getting Sabin's Bum Rush ['Final
5]:
'Either get four Wall Rings or have a Summoner that
can cast Carbuncle. Make Black or Time Mages and one Summoner
[if you do not have four Wall Rings equipped. Have the Mages cast
their strongest spells [Flare for Black Mages and Meteo for Time
Mages] while the fourth person heals the party. You can get the
Wall Rings from enemies in the Phoenix Tower. Bahamut's spells
will bounce back to him [putting the fight into you favor] when
you have Wall on the party. The instant kill spell he does at
the end will also be reflected back to Bahamut.
Hints: Defeating enemies ['Final Fantasy
Fantasy 5]:
'Go to the town of Moore in World 3. Head southwest
to find a barn-like location. Enter it to find yourself in the
forest below. Wander around until you find a wizard who will tell
to pick from two crates. Pick the right one for the Chicken Knife,
or the left one for the Brave Sword. The Chicken Knife can be
easily powered-up, up so it is even more powerful than the Excalibur.
The Brave Sword powers up when you win battles, the Chicken Knife
powers up when you run.
Hints: Double Lance ['Final Fantasy
5]:
'In the Valley of Dragons, get into a few random
battles until the monsters you fight are a Skelesaurus, Dragon
Zombie and Golem. The other monsters will turn on Golem and ask
for help. If you kill the two monsters before they kill Golem,
Golem will praise you and join your party as a summon. You have
to use the Golem item in order for him to join [just like Ramuh].
Hints: Shoat Summon ['Final Fantasy
6]:
'Go to Narshe in the World Of Ruin. Have Mog in
your party. Then, go to the mountain where you first got Mog.
You will see the frozen Esper from the start of the game. Use
Fire attacks on him and defeat him. This is the esper Tritoch
that teaches Fire 3, Ice 3, and Bolt 3. Then, go to where the
Esper was located and slide down. You will be in a cave. Most
of the chests are trapped, and only have a secret path to them
-- do not touch them. At the end of the cave, go to the skull
statue, and take the Esper. Yeti will attack you. Defeat him,
and if you have Mog in your party, he will join.
Hints: Getting the Soul Saber ['Final
Fantasy 6]:
'Use RASP until Atma Weapon is out of MP to wound
him.
Another technique is to cast Vanish and Doom.
To kill Atma, quickly buy Fire Skeens before you go to the floating
continent. Use all your resources to keep Shadow alive. After
throwing about five or six, you should kill him. Each Skeen does
anywhere from 4,100 to 4,600 damage.
Hints: Defeating Wrexsoul ['Final Fantasy
5]:
'When you go to Mirage Town [World 3], talk to the
man who bets you cannot go around the world on a yellow Chocobo.
Exit the town and hop on Boko. Travel around the world in a counter-clockwise
direction, all the way to Mirage Town. It usually helps if you
go around the world two consecutive times. Talk to the man, and
he will give you the Mirage Vest. The Mirage Vest has pretty high
defense, and when equipped, automatically casts Blink on the wearer
in battle.
Hints: Sealed Weapons ['Final Fantasy
in WOR ['Final Fantasy 6]:
'The following is a good setup for either Terra
or Celes in WOR, , but before gaining the Marvel Shoes. Equip
the relic that allows you to hold two weapons. 2. Equip Drainer
with the right hand, and Atma Weapon with the left. This allows
you to gain HP first, which makes the Atma weapon more powerful
immediately on the same attack. The Mystery Veil, Force Armor
is good for armor, and Running Shoes and another relic is also
good [Cure Ring is not necessary]. After gaining the Marvel Shoes,
equip the Soul Sabre, which you also win in the Coliseum instead.
With the Marvel Shoes and good armor, you should be near the maximum
HP most of the time, and will instead need to gain MP back.
Hints: Level up strategy ['Final Fantasy
Hints: Bonus mode ['Final Fantasy 6]:
'Defeat Kefka and complete the game. Save the game
when prompted and wait for the ending sequence to complete. Restart
the game and enter the 'New Game' screen. Select 'Bonus'
and load the saved data from your completed game.
Hints: Random hidden character appearance
6]:
'Use the following trick to get the Odin Esper quickly,
without getting into battles. After receiving the Airship in the
World Of Ruins, go to Narshe. Go to where the Moogle Village is
located. Talk to Mog and he will join the party. In the location
where you found Mog, search the wall to retrieve the Moogle Charm
[when equipped on Mog, you will fight no random encounters]. Go
to Figaro Castle and talk to the engineer to head back to the
desert. When the castle is moving, you will suddenly stop and
the engineer will mention something. Go to the prison cell with
the door and go through. Have Mog in the party with the relic
Moogle Charm equipped. Follow the path until you reach the Ancient
Castle. Go to the throne room and search the statue to retrieve
the Odin Esper. You will never encounter an enemy unless you open
two chests that contain monsters. If this happens, just cast Vanish
then Doom to dispose of them. This is an easy way to get Odin
and learn the rare spell Meteor.
Hints: Getting Ragnorak Esper ['Final
Fantasy 6]:
'Un-equip the hat of the character you like the
most. Sell all other hats you have. Then, go to the hatless character's
equipment screen and select 'Optimum'. Sometimes a random
item [usually a Genji Glove] will be equipped as a hat, and boosts
defense up to 255.
Hints: Stealing a Gengi Glove ['Final
Fantasy 6]:
'First, cast Vanish then either X-Zone or Break.
Do not cast Doom, as this will not kill the undead.
Hints: Easy experience ['Final Fantasy
by using Relics ['Final Fantasy 6]:
'If a character is inflicted with an after-battle
status effects such as Poison, go to that character's Relic sub-menu
and choose a Relic that prevents the status effect that is afflicted.
Press X then go back to the menu screen. The status effect
that the Relic you equipped to the character should stop any of
the status effects it can stop. Return to the Relic screen. Remove
the Relic used to remove the status effect and equip the original
Relic[s] you had for that character. For example, If Edgar has
Poison and Darkness, go to the relic Screen and get a Relic that
can either stop Poison and/or Darkness [for example, the Star
Pendant]. Go back to menu screen, then give him Goggles or another
Relic that stops Darkness. Next, go to the Relic screen, remove
those two relics, and give him the original ones.
6]:
'Go to Albrook in the World of Balance. Immediately
before going to the floating continent, you will meet a man that
says someone tried to sell a glowing rock, and that he went to
Tzen. Go to Tzen and look behind the trees in the top right-hand
corner of the town. You can buy the Sraphim Esper for 3000 GP.
Also at this time, if you go to Jidoor you can buy the Golem and
ZoneSeek Espers for 20,000 GP at the auction house, but it may
take a while because some other things are sold there as well,
such as Cure Rings, Cherub Downs and talking Chocobos [which you
cannot actually buy].
Hints: Easy Catrot battles ['Final
6]:
'Before battle, equip someone with the Esper Fenrir.
Then while in battle, go to the person with Fenrir, select 'Magic',
and hit Up. The game will have 'Fenris' printed
instead of 'Fenrir'.
Hints: Bone Mail ['Final Fantasy 5]:
'The Bone Mail is in the Dragon Valley in Galuf's
world. In the first area where you start to see bones, you will
pass the ribs. The Bone Mail is in a small pile of bones just
before you turn the corner on the cliff's edge. This armor is
for Knights, Samurais, Sorcerers, etc. This armor will serve well
until the end of the game.
Hints: Dancing Dirk ['Final Fantasy
Hints: Extra ABP ['Final Fantasy 5]:
'In Phoenix Tower, after every few stairs you will
reach a room with two pots, one on each side of the room. One
of the pots contain money, but the other contains a monster. The
enemy is called 'Magic Pot' and will not attack you.
He will say 'Gimme Elixer'. Use an Elixer on him and
he will reward with 100 ABP and an item. This is possibly the
easiest way to master items like Mimes, Samurais, Chemists, and
Ninjas.
In The Void [the last area of the game], all of the monsters give
20+ ABP after a battle. To easily win Behemoth battles, first
cast Berserk on it. Next, cast Golem on your allies. You can now
use physical or magic attacks to defeat them. If Golem wears out,
simply recast it. Also in The Void is a monster called a 'Mover'.
They are very rare, but if you are lucky enough to encounter them
[they appear in sets of three], kill them all quickly with attacks
such as Bahamut or Leviathan. If you let them live too long, they
start to move around and eventually turn one of your party members
into stone. When this happens, the battle automatically ends and
you get nothing. The reward for defeating the Movers is 199 ABP
and 100,000 gil.
Hints: Easy experience ['Final Fantasy
Hints: Easy gil ['Final Fantasy 5]:
'Go to the Valley Of Dragons in Galuf's World [World
2]. Go in a cave and find a Zombie Dragon. Kill it. This may be
difficult, considering it has about 8,000 HP. After the battle,
it should give you about 1000 to 1500 gil, 500 to 1000 experience,
and 2 to 7 ABP. A subscreen will appear. Take the Dragon Fang
or Dragon Tooth, and kill some more Zombie Dragons. Each Dragon
Fang or Dragon Tooth is worth 2500 gil. Also in the Valley Of
The Dragons is a Bone Mail that resembles a ribcage. It has good
defense, and can be used by Samurai, Knights, Sorcerers, Lancers,
and most other fighting classes.
Hints: No battles in Phoenix Tower ['Final
Hints: Coliseum items in World Of Ruin [Final Fantasy 6]:
Trade a Behemoth suit and get a Snow suit. It works well with
Mog. Trade a Rising sun or a Sniper and get a Bone club. Trade the
Bone Club and get a Red Jacket. Trade a Chocobo suit and get a Moogle suit. Trade the Moogle suit
and get a Nutkin suit. Trade that and get Genji Armor. Trade Coronet and get a Regal Crown. Trade
that and a get Genji
helmet. Trade an Imp Halberd and keep trading everything you get till
u get an EXP egg.
Fantasy 6]:
'Equip the Economizer and Gem Box relics to allow
you attack two times for 2 MP. Make sure you know the magic Quicke,
then enter a battle. Cast Quicke followed by Ultima, then just
Ultima four more times.
Hints: Throw anything twice ['Final
5]:
'At the beginning of the game give the name -Cain-
or -Kain- to the main character. Then, as soon as possible, turn
him into a Dragon Knight and master him. You can also teach him
the Summon command.
Hints: Hydra Summon ['Final Fantasy
5]:
'Get the airship and fly to Cresent Island. Head
to the middle of the joined continent, and land next to a forest
there. Walk around in the forest until it seems you have gotten
into a battle. The screen will be fuzzy instead of the normal
swirl for starting a battle. This town has extremely good weapons,
6 level six magic spells, and great armor. There are two shops
in every store, so search around the town.
Hints: Black Chocobo in World 3 ['Final
Hints: Quick MP ['Final Fantasy 6]:
'In the World Of Balance, go to the triangular island
in the very top right corner. Keep walking around until encountering
the invisible monster called Intangir. Simply chant death on it
to gain 10 MP.
In the World Of Balance, encounter Intangir as described previously.
Instead of casting Doom, have Gau in your party and keep him with
you always. When facing Intangir choose the 'Rage' Rhodox
and wait. The only two commands he uses are Fight and Snare. Snare
will eliminate the monster, and it will not be able to counter
with the extremely powerful Meteo.
In the World Of Ruin, go to the desert south west of Maranda.
There a creature called Cactros that has 3 HP, but is hard to
hit and is immune to almost all magic. Use Cyan's Dispatch, Edgar's
Drill, or Sabin's Bum Rush to defeat it.
Hints: Provide Gogo any commands ['Final
6]:
'Press Upx2, Leftx2, Downx2,
Forward.
Hints: Defeating Katana Soul ['Final
6]:
'This relic turns all MP used on any magic move
to only 1 MP. You can only get it the second world, after Kefka
blows up the world, above the Veldt [the place where you teach
Gau new moves]. It is a small forest patch on the island just
north of the Vedlt Island. You will be close when Tyranos start
attacking. Keep fighting them and every once and a while a monster
called a Bracosaur will attack. Have Locke steal from it. If that
was unsuccessful, kill it and hope that it appears after the battle.
Make sure Lock is level 35 or higher. Equip him with an Off Ring,
the Theif Knife, and your best armor. The Marvel Shoes also help.
Save the game and bet the Strato at the Colosseum. You will fight
an Aquila. Locke will attempt to steal about 50% of the time.
When he is successful and if you are lucky, you will get an Economizer.
If you get a Phoenix Down, use the in-game reset, reload, and
try again. Once he is successful and you win the fight, you will
get a Pearl Lance. Bet that in the Coliseum, and you will win
another Strato. You can repeat this as many times as desired.
6]:
'To get Raiden you need Odin. Go in Edger's castle
in the World Of Ruin and go underground. When the game states
that you hit something, go and check. In the jail there will be
an open door. Go through it and you enter a cave. After the cave
you will get into the Ancient Castle. Enter the throne room, go
to the right side of the throne, walk five steps down, and hit
X. When you do this go into the right room, and a new room
will be there. Note: If you do this you wll lose Odin and gain
Raiden.
Hints: Getting Gogo ['Final Fantasy
Fantasy 6]:
'When Bannon asks you to join the Returners, say
'No' three times. One of the people inside will give
you the Genji Glove.
5]:
'Once you have the dragon, fly to Tycoon Castle
and talk to the Chancellor. Then, go to the treasure room on the
east side of the castle and talk to the Chancellor again to enter.
Once there, you can find the very useful Healing Staff, which
restores HP rather than taking it away. It is magic though --
do not use it on someone with Reflect.
Fantasy 6]:
'You can get a second Memento Ring by searching
the left side of the upper story of Strago's house. Go to the
left side wall and go down until you run into the chair. Turn
left and hit X and you will receive a second Memento
ring which only Relm and Shadow can use.
Hints: Merit Award '[Final Fantasy
Fantasy 6]:
'After defeating the Atma Weapon the first time,
cast Life 3 on everyone, have them all holding a Wall Ring as
one of their relics [helps through the entire level], and have
someone Berserk the Boss. After that he will only use regular
attacks and will not change his weakness. Once defeated, he will
use Ultima, the most powerful magic attack in the entire game,
and it will most likely kill you.
Hints: Defeating almost every Boss ['Final
Fantasy 6]:
'In Zozo, when you find the clock on the top right
side of the town, put in the following times. First hand 6:00,
second hand 10, third hand 50.
Hints: Atma Weapon combo ['Final Fantasy
Fantasy 6]:
'Go to the town of Zozo. Talk to the only man that
is walking around [not jumping from building to building or laying
down]. He will give you an item. Then, go to the top of the building
with the door that is rusted shut and use the item that the man
gave you. It will open the rusted door, which leads to Mt. Zozo.
There, you will get in a lot of fights and eventually meet up
with Cyan.
