Hidden options:
Successfully complete the game as Beyond The Grave,
Jyuji Kabane, and Rocketbillly Redcadillac to unlock the alternate
costumes, sound test, stage select, movie viewer, and enemy rush
options and bonuses.
The hidden options in the 'Customize' menu are: 'Invincible',
'Unlimited Demolition', 'All Explode', 'Camera
Angle', 'High Speed', 'Different Characters',
and 'Secret Character'.
The hidden options in the 'Extra' menu are: 'Stage
Select', 'Boss Rush', 'Enemy Rush', 'Play
Movie', 'Play Conversations', and 'Play Sound
Effects'.
Successfully complete the game under the hard difficulty setting
to unlock Kick Ass difficulty mode.
Play as Jyuji Kabane:
Successfully complete level 1 as Beyond The Grave.
Hints: Defeating the three bodied Boss:
At the end of Chapter 6, you face the largest Boss of the game [but not the most difficult]. This Boss
is large, light blue, and is a mixture of three different men. Do not run around him. You will only
make it more difficult for yourself. Instead, take him face-on. Place yourself exactly in front
of the energy supplies of the monster. This will save you time later. Start shooting at him, standing
completely still. No matter what, never stop shooting throughout this battle. Pay close attention
to the movements of your opponent. When he starts to wiggle or
shake, it means that he is about to shoot many little bombs around the room. When he starts to wiggle,
start swinging constantly with your coffin [if you are Grave]. This will deflect them back at it
for major damage. When he opens his large mouth, do not panic. Instead, keep shooting at a fast rate.
He will feel your blows, and will not be able to shoot his large bomb at you. When you see him
move his sword to one side, jump straight up -- he is about to swing at you. When you get used to
the patterns, it will be easy for you to finish his life bar. He will fall down.
Turn around and start shooting at the energy supplies indicated by the target. If you have some demolition
shots, use the slow motion so that you have more time to shoot. You do not have much time --
in a matter of seconds the monster will come back fully restored. Have some patience as this battle
is going to last a long time. Repeat the process and you will come out nearly untouched.
Hints: Unlock Customize/Extra Options:
These in-game tasks can be performed as an alternate way of unlocking customize/extra options
in the US version and is mandatory in the Japanese version.
Warning: If a customize option is turned ON, no new features will be unlocked as long as it stays on,
and your shield gauge will recover at a slower rate. [applies to the japanese version. US version
may unlock new features with the shot/close range customizes on].
